Your Meltdown Mastery Handouts
Welcome. These are the handouts that pair with your Meltdown Mastery course. Each one is designed to support a specific lesson, so I recommend downloading them as you go rather than all at once. Most are quick references built for real life. The kind you stick on the fridge, screenshot to your phone, or share with a partner, a grandparent, or a teacher who’s in this with you.
If you’re listening through the Hiro app, these handouts live inside each lesson. If you’re listening anywhere else, this is your one-stop spot. Bookmark this page.
A quick note: episode 1 is your course intro, so the lesson numbers don’t quite match the episode numbers. The handouts below are labeled with both, so you can find what you need either way.
Episode 1 / Intro No handout, just a warm welcome and a tour of what’s ahead.
Episode 2 / Lesson 1: Tantrum vs. Meltdown Quick Reference A side-by-side comparison card so you can spot the difference in real time. Worth sharing with anyone else who supports your child. [Download]
Episode 3 / Lesson 2: Traffic Light Brain Visual The green, yellow, and red zones. What’s happening in your child’s brain in each, and what your job is. This one’s a game changer for understanding. [Download]
Episode 4 / Lesson 3: Meltdown Pattern Tracker A simple week-long tracker for spotting your child’s hazards and triggers. The patterns become obvious faster than you’d think. [Download]
Episode 5 / Lesson 4: Calm Before the Storm Plan A fillable Know, Plan, Intervene template you can build with your child. This is where prevention starts to feel doable. [Download]
Episode 6 / Lesson 5: 3-Step Meltdown Protocol Card Connect, contain, co-regulate. With do-this and not-this language for the moment you need it most. Built for the fridge. [Download]
Episode 7 / Lesson 6: Reconnection Phrases Card Post-meltdown say-this and not-this phrases for the repair moment, when you don’t have the words. [Download]
Episode 7 / Lesson 6: Reflection Conversation Guide When, where, and what to ask in the teaching conversation that comes after repair. Not the lecture. The real one. [Download]
Episode 8 / Lesson 7: Calm Kit Checklist Five categories, with checkboxes, for building a personalized calm kit with your child. They pick the final items. [Download]
Episode 9 / Bonus Lesson: Parent Calm Plan Card Your regulation, your reset. A calm cue, a physical reset, a reflective question, and an S.O.S. plan for when you’re the one tipping into yellow. [Download]
Meltdown Mastery Roadmap A one-page summary of the entire framework. The “when in doubt” fridge reference that pulls everything together. [Download]
