Coaching Services & Options

Thank you for your interest in ADHD coaching with Neilson Mahoney Coaching.

I am looking forward to working with you.

Here are some options for you, divided into Adults, Parents, and Students services.

Please find the section that applies to you and follow the links to sign up for free consultations or program waitlists.

If You Are an Adult with ADHD

I offer one-to-one coaching to adults with ADHD on a limited basis. The majority of my clients work with me biweekly on an ongoing basis. This is my most transformative offer. Adults that have worked with me have gone through incredible transformative changes. Careers have shifted, businesses have been started, relationships built and healed, patterns shifted, and over and over again nervous systems have calmed. In adult ADHD coaching, we work together to understand ADHD and use practices and strategies to help create calm and ease. The goal is to thrive with this diagnosis and to look at life through the lens of ADHD creating lasting sustainable change. The ADHD coaching process can be short-term over a few months or long-term over a couple of years, it is all dependent on needs and goals.

Options and How to Book

1:1 Coaching

My one-to-one practice is currently full and due to overwhelming demand and capacity, I have had to close my waitlist as well. If you are interested in working with me I recommend booking a drop-in appointment. I offer ongoing spaces as they become available to clients who have worked with me on a drop-in basis first.

If you have been referred to me by a practitioner or a current client please contact me below and even if I can’t take you on currently I may be able to make some recommendations or offer support with resources.

Drop-In Coaching

I offer drop-in appointments during the second week of every month. Check the link often as availability does open up regularly. Occasionally when I have a cancellation, I will open space on other weeks of the month. In this hour you can ask me all of your questions and share any challenges you are facing and I will offer knowledge and strategies. These are full sessions! Come prepared with everything you want to discuss and ready to take notes.

If You are a Parent of a Child with ADHD

As of fall 2023 Neilson Mahoney Coaching will no longer work with children one-on-one. This does not include senior high school students and University students, I will be reserving a limited number of spaces for students in this season of life. Choosing to pause working with younger children with ADHD was incredibly difficult as this was such a rewarding part of my work. I have learned in my years of practice as an ADHD coach that supporting parents and educators has the most significant impact and as my practice has grown, that is where I feel called to focus my time. My goal is to educate the adults supporting children with ADHD to create understanding and empathy and build supportive environments for children to thrive. I am excited to offer options for parents at multiple price points and a higher availability due to this change. As a note, I do accept funding from Autism BC for parent coaching if your child has a dual diagnosis, please let me know if you plan to use funding for our work together before our first appointment.

Comprehensive Digital Resources

I have created a variety of courses and ebooks for parents and for educators to support families at an accessible price point. These resources include free and affordable e-book downloads, and courses which incorporate learning videos, strategies, resources, and tools to use in your home and at school. They include a lot of in-depth information and actionable strategies, and are designed to make a difference in your life with ADHD. As well, I offer live group calls to individuals enrolled in my online courses to ensure that I can offer the most support possible. Check out all your options here:

Note: new resources will be published regularly, so make sure you’re on my list if you’d like to be the first to know when another digital resource becomes available.

Drop-In Appointments

Parents have access to my one-to-one drop-in appointments. These appointments are offered during the second week of each month and when cancellations become available. In this hour you can ask me all of your questions and share any challenges you or your child is facing and I will offer knowledge and strategies. These are full sessions! Come prepared with everything you want to discuss and ready to take notes.

1:1 Coaching

Occasionally I have a one-to-one coaching spot come available. The beauty of working with parents is that our work is usually on a short term such as a few months as opposed to ongoing over a year plus. The goal of parent coaching is to build understanding and to develop and implement effective strategies in the home. My practice is currently full, but drop-in clients get first access to any spots that become available.

If you have been referred to me from a practitioner or current client please contact me below and even if I can’t take you on right now I may have specific referrals or resources to share.

If You are a Student With ADHD

I always reserve a limited number of slots for high school and University Students every September and January. This season of life can be challenging and I want to be able to support you. If you are a University student in Canada with an ADHD diagnosis you may even have access to funding to pay for our sessions (check out the details here). Student slots will be twice per month and ongoing as needed with a break during school holidays. Sign up for a free consultation to discuss this option below in either August or January. Availability will come available in my calendar close to the beginning of these months.
