About Neilson Mahoney Coaching

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Erica and I am passionate about supporting individuals that are struggling to navigate ADHD and challenging behaviour. I work with individuals navigating these challenges in their own lives as well as parents of children with ADHD who are looking for support with parenting and school.

My approach is informed by years of consulting experience with adults and parents impacted by ADHD. I also have lived experience as a person with ADHD and as a parent to a child with ADHD. This personal connection enables me to bring a unique combination of professional expertise and personal empathy to our work together.

My background as an educator has provided insight into specific needs and gaps within the system, which Neilson Mahoney Coaching is designed to fill. I have direct experience working with children with ADHD in the school system as well as in private practice. Experience has taught me that working with the parents of children with ADHD is the most effective way to improve continuity and optimize the results.

When you work with Neilson Mahoney Coaching you can expect to gain a sense of connection. We value creating relationship and understanding your experiences. We can help you validate those experiences as real and normal, and support you to create systems and habits so you and your children can thrive with ADHD.

My Educational Background Includes

A Bachelor of Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education; a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Language and Literacy Education; a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Inclusive Education; and a Master of Education degree focusing on behaviour and supporting diverse learners.

In August 2020, I completed my ADHD coaching certificate via a Professional Association for ADHD Coaches (PAAC) approved program at Live ADHD Free. Finally, I am a trained provider of Dan Duncan’s ADHD Inside Out Coaching Framework.

I believe in ongoing training and professional development and for this reason, I am an active member of CADDRA (The Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance).

Incredible Wealth of Knowledge

“Erica has an incredible wealth of knowledge. Her understanding of ADHD, childrens’ behaviour, family dynamics and the school system is amazing. She is able to connect with both me and my son and gives accessible, easily implemented solutions to our challenges both at home and at school. I am so grateful to have found her.”
